Don't buy it to track sleep
I bought the Mi Band 5 to help me track health statistics, but mostly for sleep tracking and step counts. The first night it recorded no sleep data, but the next day it recorded a nap perfectly. Hmmm. The next night it tracked about 2 hours of my normal 8-9 hours of sleep and showed long periods where I was "awake" (I wasn't). Odd. Off and on over the next week or so, it would randomly record sleep for short periods of time, or not at all, but usually tracked naps. Weird. I finally contacted Amazon Tech Support (who should really just be called customer service, neither of the "techs" I spoke with offered any technical assistance in the slightest, only a replacement (first time I called), or a refund (second). The first time around they thought that the band was faulty and sent me a new one.I started a Reddit thread and gots lots of advice on how to get it to work, none of which made it work any better. I tried it on both wrists, I slept on my back, I slept on my side, I slept curled up, it would never record my sleep reliably. Out of about 1-1/2 weeks of trying, I think it recorded one "normal" night's sleep for me. I was also never able to find any instructions on how to set up the band for tracking sleep, so I just enabled what seemed logical (track heart rate & sleep). Since "technical support" was unable to tell me how to set it up, and there are no written instructions, I've returned both of them and asked for a refund. Now, it's possible that my sleep patterns are really that bad (which is what I was trying to figure out), but this band is just too unreliable.I really wanted to like this fitness band, and other than not doing what I primarily bought it for, I did. It tracks steps, heart rate, syncs up with Google Fit just fine, does alarms, displays text messages, etc.One thing I was worried about was whether or not the band would fit my wrist, but it fit just fine on the last hole without being too tight, on either wrist, and I'm a big guy.As long as you don't want it to track your sleep, this is a nice fitness band at a good price point (hence the two stars).

Great and light little tracker with all the features packed
I had been using Fitbit so far but then I wanted to buy a new tracker and I thought of trying mi band 5 because of all the great reviews. I am happy with my purchase so far.I have put Fitbit and disband side-by-side and compared heart rate and steps etc everything seems to match up very well so I won't doubt the accuracy of this device.I feel that on my Android device connectivity is better than Fitbit it connects the moment I turn on Bluetooth and gives me all the stats the only concern that I have is that I don't have any option to delete my data from the portal or download my fitness data from the portal just like what Fitbit offers. Again, the only concern I have is that the data would be not stored securely and might be used to track my activities and behavior.

Great product for really small price
This bracelet calculates my sleep duration, stress level, cycle of my periods and ovulation, has more types of workouts. Plus, it is really awesome that with it I can take beautiful selfies and pictures without holding my phone in my hands, water resistant, I periodically take a shower and swim in the pool, and everything is fine. The screen has become much better, it is much more comfortable to read text messages. Great interface. The only thing is not a large selection of languages, only Chinese and English. And when I turned on the watch for the first time and tried to connect it to my phone, the bracelet worked exclusively in Chinese, after connecting to the phone, I was able to establish English. It's great tracker, accept it works only with one app on play store, and this app doesn't work for last three weeks, bdo basically my mi band became totally useless. It stopped connect to my phone 😞.

Data recorded reflects approximates; corrosion issues with battery charger contacts
I have had this fitness tracker for about 5 months, after receiving it as a birthday present. I have used it as a pedometer, to measure heart rate and stress, and sleep times. The app is easy to use and is reasonably dependable. I don't think the pedometer is highly accurate, but for my daily purposes, it records sufficient data for comparison purposes.I do have concerns about 2 mechanical issues. As you can see from my photo, there is significant corrosion developing on the battery charging contacts on the back of the tracker. The corrosion has become so significant that the battery charger contacts no longer make a good connection with the contacts on the back of the fitness tracker. If the corrosion continues, the tracker will likely become unusable. The second issue involves the point of connection to fasten the band for the fitness tracker. There is a plastic "peg" that fits into holes on the band, to adjust for length of the band. Good thing I bought extra bands on Amazon: I have replaced that plastic "peg" every few weeks when it breaks. The plastic "peg" is definitely a weak point on the fitness tracker band.I will continue to use this tracker as long as I can, until either it drops off my arm and I lose it when another plastic "peg" breaks, or the corrosion deteriorates the battery charger contacts to the point that I can no longer recharge the battery.

Great product with amazing value
I had a Fitbit years ago that worked fine but was nothing special. It died after less than a year. Just stopped working. Support was not helpful. I was skeptical about this product but it has proven to be a great purchase. The battery life is astounding and while it did take some minor tweaking to get it to sync with all my apps, it wasn't rocket science. The sleep tracking isn't great but everything else is stellar. Syncs with Google Fit, works with my health care incentive package and Walgreens. Highly recommended!
