Professional 49-58 Mm Coffee Espresso Tamper Base 100% 304 Stainless Steel (49mm)

Fantastic part. I made a 3/8-16 attachment for a custom remade cutoff of a signature tool I make for work with carbon fiber, burdseye maple, and african blackwood as the handle. It's a thing of beauty with this at the business end. The bottom surface is flat and nicely ground to an smooth machined finish. My only complaint is that the top side is fairly roughly machined as if the cutting tool was dull or running at the wrong feed rate or something. It's smooth to the touch and shouldn't cause cleaning issues, but it just drops it from a 5 star appearance. I confess I'm splitting hairs, but I expect most coffee geeks tend to do that. Seriously, don't hesitate to pick this if you're making an espresso tamper from scratch.

Works as expected.Is the correct size.The pretapped threads work as expected.The finish is a bit on the rough side, the edges where the sides transition to the flats bottom was sharp.I mounted the tamper base on a drill and polished with wet and dry sandpaper until the sharp edges were smooth.I would of awarded 5 stars if the corners were not so sharp.

The size options are great & the quality of the base itself is decent, HOWEVER... the description says it is a standard thread size that works with most major manufacturers when looking for a handle to go with it; this is not the case. Despite my best efforts, I have been unable to locate a single handle that fits with this base & could not get a response from the seller or other Amazon users regarding a good option for a handle. I'm not being picky, I'm just looking for ANY handle that fits & CANNOT find one. I wanted to return the item, but due to the holidays, wasn't able to request the return in time. I couldn't be more disappointed with this purchase. What a waste.

This Tamper fits the Rok espresso great. You need to provide your own handle. I found a long lag bolt that I had hanging around and it fit the threads.

It fit the threads on my RegBarber (with a 49.7mm previously) handle perfectly and works well with my 58 mm portafilter with the VST baskets.

Better then I hoped for. It's heavy and well made. I used it to make a tamper as a gift.

Exactly what I was hoping for. Solid and heavy, very clean and well made.
