Who We Are in Christ A to Z: a Christian devotional Kindle Edition

I found this devotional tremendously helpful, since it clearly states who we are in Christ and—what I consider just as important—who we aren’t. Like many other Christians who should know better, I sometimes slip back into feeling I have to earn my salvation through my own efforts.Clover reminds us that Christ provides everything He requires from us, so our attempts to be our own saviors are unnecessary as well as futile. Under “branch,” for example, she reassures us that we “bear fruit (through no effort of our own) when we stay connected to the vine.”Our responsibility to be tools rather than tally-ers of fruit we often can’t even see is summed up under “peacemaker.” There Clover notes that “when we live in Christ, all His characteristics work their way out through us—if we don’t fight against his purposes. If we let Him have His way.” That’s certainly a lot easier than what many of us are trying to do instead!
