Boot process is no more difficult..
Being from non linux background and in the process of learning linux, this book has been helpful in making the boot process really easy to understand. This book covers several OS boot process and it is very easy to differentiate now between different OS and what process it goes through while booting. It covers legacy BIOS as well as UEFI firmware details as well.It is very much recommended to people keen to learn and know about new things. My personal experience was that after going through the book I was able to understand the booting process very easily and was able to troubleshoot issues related to it.Well explained steps with alot many pictures in it really helps to relate when doing real time troubleshooting.

Invaluable Reading Experience!!
Clearly, This book has added flesh to the skeleton of a booting process, I previously knew.I am really blessed by the efforts of the author in making this book a wonderful experience that it is. The book holds intricate details of every stage and it is written in a very interesting way. Honestly, I couldn't resist to read more and more. Never has reading been so enjoyable.

Its a Good one but....
Its a bit leaning more towards Linux than Windows or Old Unix.May be a second revised edition will further polish this already publicly rare documentation.1. Style of Presentation i.e. description vs experiments.2. Double check on abbreviations used.3. Layout.
