MOTU gear, 23 inputs via AVB network, not too bad
24 analog inputs (via 3 individual DB25 connectors, that do not come with it) so far, it is pretty sweet. adding to my MOTU 1248,

Too expensive for unreliable gear with no customer support
I used my MOTU 24Ai for three years before it stopped working completely. It just wouldn't boot up one day. I called MOTU customer support, but it turns out they won't do anything to help you if the unit is out of the 2 year warranty. I couldn't get it repaired, even at cost. They wouldn't help me with a replacement. MOTU, like many reputable music gear companies, used to stand behind their gear. Unfortunately, they stopped caring about their customers and their own reputation.I used the 24Ai in a home studio, with no pets or smoke. I used a Furman power conditioner plugged into a surge protector, so I don't think it was a power issue.Until the MOTU 24Ai crapped out on me, it was great for what I needed. Unfortunately, when a company charges a premium and then doesn't care about the customer, that's where they lose me. It's a shame, I own a total of 5 MOTU interfaces, but I'll not buy from them again.
