Finally solved my water hammer issue
I've always had a severe water hammer problem upon shutdown in my outdoor sprinkler system (3/4-inch PVC plumbing) when I am using only one zone or when the last zone shuts down when using multiple zones. The sprinkler timer controller partially eliminates this problem when using two or more zones because it turns on the next zone slightly before turning off the current zone. But it can't eliminate this problem on the last zone or when only using one zone. The water pressure in my system is only about 60 PSI. I tried a couple of so called "slow closing" solenoid valves that really did not live up to their claim and my water hammer persisted. The problem is that these "solenoid valves" just stop all of that water from flowing in milliseconds, not gradually like in a manual shutoff. But a motorized ball valve on the other hand is just like a manual shut off valve. It takes a few seconds and gradually shuts down the water flow preventing any water hammer. I have read some reviews however that have stated motorized ball valves can get stuck open or partially open so keep that in mind as to where and how to install this valve, so you don't have a possible single point failure that could keep water running in your system. If you're paranoid about this, you can do like I did and install it in series with your current solenoid valve so that it would take two failures (both the solenoid valve and the motorized ball valve) for this to happen. But it will take some electrical know how and an additional auxiliary timer and relays to do this. Anyway, I've had this valve installed for about 2 1/2 months now and so far, it has worked flawlessly. Five stars for sure.

Great Electric air or liquid control valve.
I have this valve mounted on the out port of my big stand up air compressor. I have a good sized shop with multiple air drops. I have used 1/2" schedule 40 PVC pipe for years and have never had a problem but I would worry that if a line should break at night the compressor would run forever. For this reason I used a 220 volt relay connected to a wall switch timer to prevent compressor turning on at night. You always have a small air leak at fittings (especially quick disconnects) and my compressor would cycle on and off with no one using air. However when I needed air, the lines would be dead and compressor tank nearly empty and you would have to wait for air build up.NOW WITH THIS AMAZING VALVE, I use the same wall timer switch to control a low voltage transformer that triggers valve to open. The valve closes automatically when power is dropped so I can push 1 hour on timer for example and walk away knowing that after I'm finished using air the valve will be closed and I know the compressor won't be running unnecessarily. Now, my lines may be dead but the compressor tank is full and ready and with a press of a button the valve opens and now all lines are charged instantly. What I especially like is it opens slowly and you don't get a hard pop of air on the lines. Highly recommend this valve.

Solid product, works like a champ!
We are very pleased with the valve. You can tell it is a quality-made product, and the setup was very straightforward. We used it to replace our garage hose bib so we could enclose our retractable hose reel and operate it with a switch (and yes, we also included the necessary backflow prevention valve). Since purchasing it, we have utilized it multiple times daily, and it continues to perform flawlessly.

Not IP65 Rated - killed by rain
This valve worked great in my automated garden for one season, but after trying to get it working again the next summer it was toast. I supplied 12VDC and got absolutely nothing. Seeing that it was only a few weeks outside of the one year warranty, I decided to do an autopsy. While the unit is listed as being rated for IP65, water had very easily ingressed through the opening surrounding the manual operation knob and then straight down to the bottom of the motor before turning it into a pile of loose rust.More than likely the manufacturer had the units without manual operation knobs tested and certified for IP65 and then listed all of them as IP65 despite the manual operation knob being like a sunroof on a submarine. The product page does recommend covering the valve if it's being used outside, but the entire point of the ingress protection rating is that the device should be safe to use under those conditions.I can't say that it's a bad product overall. It should be great for indoor use. But it's being falsely advertised to work in my circumstances and it failed completely due to a very obvious design flaw. If you do need to use one of these where it will be exposed to rain or water spray, consider buying a motorized valve that is completely sealed.

Happy to find this valve
I use this type of valve on my geothermal heating and cooling system. I run 55° well water through it to supply the heat exchanger in my system. It lasts 14-15 months of steady use. Which is about how long a brand name one lasted me at about 1/3 the cost. Thank you Amazon!

Great service and valve
I have 3 of these valves that I use all of the time. They work great. I did have a problem with 1 of them last week where it stopped working. I was 2 weeks away from the 1 year warrenty expiring. I contacted the company and they got back to me the next day. They said that it was still covered and they sent me a new valve. There service is great. I am working on another project and I will be ordering 6 more of the same valves. Best company that I have ever delt with.

Working great so far
I had this unit professionally installed in a tight spot by a plumber, and so far it is working great, both in electronic and manual modes.
