Lade bulk alto sax reeds 40 pcs
Out of the 40 pcs there were some bad reeds. Some of the reeds had rough faces (splinters) and had to be sand papered with 400 grit sand paper. If not careful you could get a splintered lip. Some of the reeds had bad cane spots.You could get enough good reeds out of the batch to justify the price. Inspect the the reeds s before you give them to a beginning sax player. I have played sax for many years and played just about every brand of reed.

Frustrating for a beginner but fine for someone willing to refine them for practice
These reeds are great for practice but did require a bit of dressing to work acceptable.Luckily I have the patience to sand and refine them to my satisfaction. Many would have been unusable without fine tuning so I’m sure a beginner would have been very frustrated.

Difficult to use, too thick and not flexible.
These did not play well right out of the box I had to shave them down to accommodate the thickness. I use sandpaper to bring them down to reasonable playing ability.

We have ordered these before and the first shipment was good but this recent order was terrible. Out of the first pack of 10, there was only one usable reed. The rest were warped and wouldn’t sit flush with the mouth piece.
