Worked great and didn't need a special driver
Worked great for connecting my Windows 11 laptop to an ACP SU5000RMXLT5U UPS. Plugged in the adapter, the laptop beeped acknowledging the connection, and then I linked to the UPS to change some setting and monitor performance. No special driver was needed. Just what ever was on the factory laptop.

It doesn't have a valid driver
This item didn't work out. I tried it several times but it didn't work.

It got to me in a timely manner and it works as advertised. I am purchasing an additional one soon.
Liked the visual signaling led feature. Used for Laptop without a DB9 port. This solved the problem.

Ues a working USB to Serial
I was having issues with my trendnet USB->Serial based on the prolific chip set on my mac. It would just stop transmitting and then it would resume much later. This one seem to work right off the bat once I installed the driver on my mac. My only compaint was the the driver came on one of those mini CDs which my external cd/dvd reader didn't want to insert it. So I went online and downloaded the driver from Gearmo.

I have an older Hand Held ham radio that needed to be updated with some new frequencies via the programming software. Since I no longer own a computer with a serial port, this was the best alternative and it does not disappoint.My radio goes from a 10 pin proprietary connector to a 25 pin serial which connects to a 9 pin serial cable which connects to the serial adapter i bought, and it works perfectly! I couldn't be happier. The FTDI chipset has been my go-to chipset and it never fails.If I can make three serial connection changes and still be able to connect and program my radio, it will work for you.
