Wow, what a book!! I can’t stop reading it! I didn’t expect it to be that interesting. It will take you through the whole history of colour since the Newton until Pantone. 4 full pages of bibliography! I added a lot of books from it to my reading list. The book is very informative with great photographs of original books. I’m using magnifying glass to have a proper look at these photographs and to read (although my vision is fine- the font is quite small and my eyes feel more comfortable when I use a magnifying glass with this book, I’d advice this). Definitely recommend this book, would do a beautiful present for anybody who loves colour. Watch the video and see for yourself how beautiful this book is.

Useful to follow the development of colour in relation to art, particularly from the 1700's to now. Good charts and examples.

A superb book, lucidly written and fascinating text accompanied by heaps of marvellous illustrations, and of course an absolute feast of colour. The author wears her expertise lightly and her enthusiasm for the subject shines through. Highly recommended for artists, historians of visual culture, and anyone who just loves colour.
