Exactly what we needed!
I sell hearing aids for a big box chain store, and we need to recharge peoples' hearing aids each and every day before we deliver them. This hub beats having to insert regular plugs into a surge protector by a long shot!It would be nice to not need a power button for each port, and I'm not at all sure why this was necessary. It's still better than our previous system, though nobody ever turns off those buttons.Otherwise, we like the number of ports, and it works quickly enough for us. I could see where you wouldn't appreciate the bright blue lights in a bedroom at night, but in an office or work area it can look kind of spiffy.

Great for expanding the capacity on your laptop
My laptop only has 2 USB-A ports and the 1 USB-C. For some people that's fine, but I wanted to be able to use my external keyboard as well as a few different external hard drives, a disk drive, and various thumb drives without having to unplug and swap around. Keep in mind that it is just 5 volts from your PC or laptop, so it's not like I was running EVERYTHING at once but it's the convenience I was after.

it's fine, but...
it works fine when you plug it into your laptop and want to plug in things like your wireless keyboard or charge your cell phone. stuff like that. however, if you plug the cord into a power strip that has usb outlets, it seems it is limited on what you can plug in. i tried plugging in my bose soundlink+ speaker that i just received to initially charge it up. at first it looked like it was charging but i came back this morning and it was still at 10%, which was where i started at yesterday. then i tried plugging in my flip phone and nothing. i unplugged everything and tried using the wall plugs to make sure they weren't my devices causing the problems but nope, its the usb plug. so it works just fine, it's just limited based on where you plug in. i don't want something i can only use with the laptop so i will keep searching. i sm keeping this thiugh because the current multiple usb outlet i have only plugs in 4 devices.

Great way to expand on USB ports
I have tried hubs in the past and I always seemed to have some sort of issue whether it be disconnects or some ports not reading. I have an older desktop that is still quite relevant but it doesn't have a billion USB ports like the newer model. Everything nowadays is USB including my speakers for some reason. I bought my self a cool USB RGB keyboard so I had to complete it with a new glowing mouse, some back lighting on my monitors, and a yet another cool RGB mouse pad. I like my lights, what can I tells ya.Out of the box my first thought was how thick the USB cable was and how rigid the hub was. Its made of a tough yet soft plastic material. I choose to mount mine on the inside of my desk so that it wasn't just hanging there. The on and off switches would be convenient for a a table top or desk side application. I like that the hub has the option to switch off a port since out of the box the only power being supplied is from the USB port on the computer. I found in the instructions that you can actually buy a cheap power adapter to introduce outside power into the hub. You could make make this a charging hub of sorts. If I addon anymore LED USB's to my office I may need to get that adapter. This is a solid investment. For the price this was a great deal and I would've expected to see on units at higher price points. I'll report back on how it goes with an external power source if I end up going that route.

Simple and powerful
I really appreciate having a bit of a longer cable rather than one that's only 6 in long so I can actually put this across my desk. I have a graphics tablet that I plug into this hub and I've had no issues with connection or any sort of data transfer problems. My favorite thing about this is the optional power port, so if you need to not only transfer data to your computer but also provides substantial amounts of power or charging, that is an option for an upgrade that you don't have to pay for built-in if you don't need it. The size is just right, with enough space in between each of the ports that if there's a bit of a thicker casing, it won't block any of the other ones.

Replacement - Worked Excellent, Ideal Streamline.
I purchased this item, May 03, 2022, but did not use it until the end of November 2022, (well beyond the return date) and it did not work-computers would not read. I posted in the review that there was a problem. The company, Vemont, to my amazement, reached out, stood behind their product and replaced it. Today, January 09, 2023, I received the replacement and immediately put it to use, and it work perfectly; ideal for what I wanted and how I wanted-streamline style fit for my office work area. It is a hassle-free setup - plug in and use. Excellent!I am, also, very impressed with the company, phenomenal support, and I appreciate what they did. A company that stands behind their products, as such, is a company I prefer to do my business. I will absolutely make purchases with them in the future. Thank you.

The USB Hub with 7 ports I've Been Looking For
For the last 5 years I've been using two old USB Hubs that have work OK. My computer has only 2 ports but I've always wanted more ports. So finding the USB hub,7 Port USB 3.0 Hub, VEMONT USB Splitter with Individual On/Off Switches and Lights was my answer. I bought two. My old ones had 4 ports but these have 7 each with a thicker cables connecting to the computer. Also, each of the ports have very convenient on/off switches and blue light showing which ones are on for each of the 7 switches. I hope find you find this product as useful as I have found mine.
