I WISH I HAD BOUGHT THIS BOOK FIRST!!!
When I was a rookie, I bought lots of books on "how to" make jams. I followed their instructions to the letter, but I was always disappointed in my results, hence MORE BOOKS. Problem was they all said the same things and left out the answers I was looking for. This book answered ALL my questions and improved my jams. If I had purchased this book FIRST, I would have saved ALOT of time, money and frustration. I HIGHLY RECOMMENED IT for newbies, or those who are having problems.

We Be Jammin’
Lovely book, well organized with beautiful, aspirational photos on touchable paper. I feel ready to “jam it up” as a new convert to preserving and jam making. Happy Girl Kitchen has great recipes and many are shared here. I can’t wait to try them.On the down side, a few editorial quibbles (too many exclamation marks!) and proofreading typos in the book, which many people won’t notice. I can’t help it, I still hear my English professor saying, “you get only one exclamation mark, so use it wisely.”Wonderful cookbook full of wisdom and empowerment—and you get to feel like you’re visiting Monterey Bay too! Highly recommend.

Photos and tips
There were several nice photos and a lot of tips I had not heard of. There were not many recipes for jams though.

Yesss
I wish I had this book years ago. I never felt good about the amount of sugar standard recipes call for in preserving. This is what I intuitively knew but didn't have the confidence to try.

Enthusiastically amazing!
I loved this book even though I have not made any of the recipes at this time. She has included so many tips and hints that I look forward to next season's harvest. I should be able to try some of the applesauce this year and I am going to put up some Moroccan lemons as well.
