Great tent. Do not pull the straps too tight
This tent is great. I guess some people like a truck tent with a floor, but I don't. I'm a taller, middle-aged guy and really dislike getting on the ground. I can dress the bed with a runner rug, cot and cooler THEN set up the tent. No bending over. It's obvious from many of the 1-star, 2-star pictures it isn't being installed correctly. They've sold thousands, so it's unlikely it doesn't fit your truck. Before you need to use it take your time, set aside an hour and assemble in the driveway or garage.Make sure the seams are running nicely down the bed rail and all straps are mostly loose during setup. Monitor the stress points. If the fabric is being pulled - you're doing something wrong and it could rip. Go back and adjust. After the tent is up, just snug down the straps lightly. It's tempting to pull them too tight, but like all tents, it should have some wiggle room. A final visual check should show the tent ends parallel or perpendicular to the floor.I spent about half an hour the first time, now I can throw it up in about 7 minutes.

Used it this weekend. I was surprised at the stability of this tent in high winds. Never caved in or collapsed. 15 minutes to set up and break down. 10 if the wife isn't helping.

So far, I'm very happy. Bone dry after huge rain storm.
I've only used it for one trip thus far - I'll edit this if I need to.It does what it says. It's very easy to set up if you take your time and follow directions (imagine that). Our first trip we encountered a very substantial rain storm on the first night which lasted hours. It had rained earlier (see muddy truck) but we got lucky with a break as we got to the campsite. I got it set up moments before another storm started. We set up the rest of our camp and had dinner, etc. under a tarp, as the entirety of the Amazon River was loosed upon us. We turned in late that night - dry as a bone, and woke the next morning dry, too. Condensation is always a factor with tents, and was there in the mornings - but the shelter absolutely keeps rain out. I can't speak to wind stability yet, but if (when) it happens I will edit. The zippers are small and seem rather delicate. I'm definitely taking my time with them, I'd prefer stronger zippers and seams. The tent is also very thin, and I can't see how the stitching doesn't rip - but it doesn't. This little tent is designed well, and so far it's pretty tough. So far, I'm very happy.

This tent looks awesome.
So far I am loving this tent. I just got it and have not used it for camping yet but it was love at first box opening! I read ALL of the reviews, yes ALL of them. I wanted to make sure I had the right size for my 2015 Dodge ram short bed truck and I wanted to be sure that I did not make any of the erection mistakes like many others have (and damaged their tents in the process). It took a few minutes to figure out what way the tent was to be aligned on the truck. Had to look at the photo on the box. Based on other testimonies I made sure to NOT tighten the side straps until the very end. The rods do fits very tightly in the tent on my truck. I did not force anything and just wiggled the tent and shook it to makes sure everything fit without tearing. It is a good snug fit and looks awesome. I did discover that my truck does not have any "lip" edges that the hooks could hook to very easily along the sides so I had to improvise. The front hooks I hooked inside the back door under the seat and just closed the door on the straps. Perfect! Also had to attach one side strap to the rear wheel. Everything still worked perfectly. I bought a 5 foot cot to put inside but alas the cot sticks all the way out the tailgate and the door will not closed comfortably so I won't use the cot.If you have any experience setting up poles tents this is easy. I set it up at the house in my yard (in the shade as it was about 90 that day) and I took my time and READ THE DIRECTIONS 2-3 times before going for it. I did not want to tear anything. I spent probably 30 minutes setting it up.....it took this long only because I really putz'd around. I know I could set this up in 10-15 minutes easily (I am a 55 year old woman). I am very excited to use it. Reviews said that once the rain fly is on it really cuts down on air flow through the top screened roof. I may rig up something to hold the fly further up off the roof to allow better air flow. But we shall see. I have a nice little battery op fan that I can use. I have a camp trip planned in late Sept 2017 but I don't think I can wait that long to try this out. Have to find somewhere to camp NOW!After I have camped in it I will try to remember to come update my review! Fingers crossed.

Nice addition to my truck,
I'm glad I choose this truck tent over the full enclosed one. Went to a national park and stopped at a campground. The tent was easy to setup and take down. I have a tundra with a rug bedliner which is like a carpet around the truck bed. The truck tent was the perfect addition. The tent made my bed feel like a camper. We haven't tested the tent in the rain yet, but while in the park, we had a windy night. The tent was sturdy and held in place.Recommendation:I didn't like the air bed height in the truck bed and was worried I might have objects in the truck bed that can puncture the air bed. Instead of using an air bed, I purchased a twin foam mattress. The foam mattress worked better than an air bed. If you get a full or queen, you can cut it to match your truck bed. I ended up buying a twin 3" foam bed. To reduce the foam bed for storage, purchase the space saver bag SpaceSaver Premium Space Saver Vacuum Storage Bags, (40 x 30 Inch) 10 x JUMBO SIZE BAGS and this reduces the foam bed to fit in a storage box container that can be pushed to the side for storage. This bag fit the twin foam size nicely. You may have to find other ways to store if you get a full or queen size.Pros:Easy to setup and take down.Do not have to remove items from the truck bed when setting up tent.Held in place with windy condition.Cons:Poles tend to open a small gap by side where they fit into the slits. You can tighten the straps, but not as tight.
