Digging Deep with Book
S**.
For fans only due to the high price + there is no book included.......
I like the sound quality & the song selection . It is like a book but no book included which is a bit misleading when advertised 🤓

Greatest Solo Hits From 1982-2005 Spread Over 8 Fictionalized 7 Inch Singles.
Awesome 2019 newly constructed documentation of most of Robert Plants best selling A sides from his solo singles on 7 inch vinyl discs! While it does not feature the song, single, and hit, "Heaven Knows" (featuring a certain Mr. Page doing a guitar solo; and now occurs to me the tongue in cheek reasoning why it isn't...heaven knows?, lol), and not historically accurate in any way outside of the order of entirely previously released songs that were singles and A sides and cover artwork found within each sleeve holding a disc compiled in book form it does feature over twenty years of his greatest solo hits from 1982-2005. Also serves as a selection of tracks that were his biggest hits from what is currently only a nine c.d. plus one d.v.d. box set entitled "Nine Lives" which covers the same years of the solo studio long plays plus an extended play released during that same period spread over those nine audio only discs. None of his recordings are represented here with The Honeydrippers or Jimmy Page (as the lead artist) nor should they be. Having a compilation that focuses on what he did as a solo artist is completely legit and worthwhile to stand on its own (albeit the guitar solo found on "Tall Cool One" featuring His Darkness anyway) utilizing both this format and as a compilation. I don't understand the reason and logic of not including in the loose one cardboard page found within who the producers were/are on these recordings other than not to give whomever credit. So that is disappointing from a documentation standpoint. It is somewhat cool and confusing that the image and artwork used on the other side of that loose piece of cardboard paper is taken from the "I Believe" single which is NOT found here in any way but surely will contribute to confusion to a more complete compilation that could be done (and should) down the road years from now of Robert's singles outside of that other group before 1982. Also there is NOT one thing here that cannot be found on the original studio long plays (contrary to the official description given for this product on this website) I guess no one from the record company, Robert's management, family, friends, colleagues, bands, inner circle, groupies, or covens give two tosses about things like details or perhaps even selling this product which is sad as this is cool and worthwhile for what it is. The artwork and packaging is really cool too. I personally have realized that certain packaging such as this was produced in the early twentieth century for vinyl discs of all formats (I think) that compiled multiple discs as well which is also fine, fun, cool, and good. Nothing like bringing along some nostalgia in documentation form either in keeping that alive. The title unfortunately implies tracks that are not hits but found only on the long plays but since no one is paying attention, going to read this, and or if they do it won't make any difference at this point...(and maybe that is the point that maybe who ever chose the title is making fun of this for what it is as much as what it is not as opposed to it being an actual representation of any sort of seven inch singles that were previously released. So this should be the full name of this compilation including the following subtitle: "Digging Deep: Over Twenty Years Of Greatest Solo Hits On Eight Vinyl 7 Inch Newly Commissioned Discs 1982-2005". It is also mentioned that the tracks are remastered though probably not newly done but taken from "Nine Lives" I would imagine.

Eight pages of Plant.
I was unsure about getting this, at the initial price on release, for what is essentially a 16 track compilation supporting Percy's recent podcasts. But the price dropped a bit and took the plunge. Its a superb quality item, for collectors such as me. Remastered versions of most of his solo singles on heavyweight 7" vinyl, in a weighty hard back book, the singles in separate hard sleeves/pages, replicating the single cover artwork. Pages? Comes with a bespoke adapter too, attached on the front page, tho I use my Zep ones. I had an issue with a fault on one track, but the seller, city2citymuzik2, was courteous and rapidly sorted this out via WB in Germany no less. 6 out of 5. :-)

Beau coffret ... mais vinyl = 45T
Assez trompeur, pas clairement indiqué ... Pour moi, naïvement, un vinyl = 33T. Il s'agit en fait d'un coffret de 45T.Néanmoins, beau coffret.
