Not soft but works great
I am still hoping it gets softer, but it is okay without it. It is an entirely different concept from American towels. Know what you are getting before you buy. I love mine and would highly recommend it. It is about the size of a bathsheet.

Rough and Scratchy
These towels are good for dish towels, not for drying off your face. They are too rough and scratchy for one's face. The fabric is heavy and seems strong. This is a rough linen, not a finely woven Belgian Linen.

!!
What can I say, I'm a linen freak & this satisfied my craving very nicely 😁

Just OK quality.
The weaving was a bit off. Occasionally the black threads would be woven down an inch into the beige areas, which didn’t look good. They should have tied loose flax off in the color ed area that matched the thread.

1 Year Review!
This is the second towel I have purchased from LinenMe. I bought an identical one last year.AbsorbancyWhat it may lack in size it makes up for in absorbancy! This little towel wicks away moisture from my skin and my long hair quickly! Great when I'm in a rush to get ready!Drying timeThese linen towels are superb! We live in a very hot and humid climate and terrycloth towels mildew because they can't dry fast enough in our interior bathroom. These linen towels dry in a fraction of the time with zero mildew or odor! My toddler loves to splash in the tub and I bought the hand towel to soak up the water on the tile floor. Dripping wet, the towel still dries faster then the damp terry cloth bath mat I have!SoftnessThey are a little scratchy to begin with, but after washing and drying several times, they are quite soft. I use my older linen towel on my toddler because it's a bit softer than the new one.SizeIt's large enough to wrap around an average-sized adult.ColorfastnessI wash my linen towels in warm water with a color catcher for the first few washes just to be safe. A very small amount of the black dye was picked up by the color catcher but didn't bleed onto the rest of the towel itself. Now I wash my towels and white sheets together with no bleeding onto the color catcher or other items in the wash.I highly recommend this product!

Great travel & gym towel!
Got this to use sometimes instead of a microfiber towel for travel & I'm very happy with it for that purpose.Unlike microfiber travel towels, that tend to be a lot smaller than bath towels, I can actually wrap this around me and walk around a locker room or hostel without flashing anyone. It also dries VERY FAST-- much faster than regular or microfiber towels. One night, I used it dry as a layer on my bed in a chilly camping cabin.Best of all, I can roll it up to the same size as my Nomadix travel towel. The biggest disadvantage is that it is nowhere near as absorbant as a microfiber or loopweave towel-- maybe half as much. I may start traveling with a bamboo towel hair turban that I use at home-- the two towels will take the same space as my microfiber travel towel+a pair of socks.

Beautiful, High Quality and a Good Deal
I love these 100% linen hand towels. The natural color with black stripes is striking, yet combined with the texture of the linen this towel is beautifully simple. These towels are great in either the bathroom or kitchen. Although they are much thinner than cotton towels, linen dries a whole lot faster. They are more expensive than cotton, but I decided to splurge due to linen being more mildew resistant than cotton. Sometimes cotton towels can develop a mildew smell if they don't get a chance to dry out often enough. Living in a humid climate exasperates this problem. They may feel a bit "rough & tough" before washing them but linen softens very quickly. Another reviewer mentioned that they are supposed to be handwashed. I don't. I just throw them in the washing machine with other items. I usually line/air dry them only because I love how linen feels line dried, but I have thrown them in the dryer, on low, and did not notice any shrinkage. You are not supposed to use fabric softener with linen. Yes, linen can look a bit rumpled but these stay surprisingly wrinkle-free without ironing. Quality linen will last practically forever, and I would put these in that category. For 100% linen hand towels these are a good deal. I almost bought some at another, non-Amazon, site for $40 a piece. Glad I saw this package of 2, from LinenMe, here on Amazon. Prime made it even better.

Good Quality
These were exactly as I expected. I like the linen because they are very resistant to wear. The only small problem is the price. If they were a couple of dollars less expensive I would purchase more.

The towel develops a very bad smell after only few days of use
I was looking for something versatile (2 in 1) with a good quality to replace my $7 cotton towel and the synthetic one which I used for more than 4 years for backpacking and camping trips. One of my friends was using the linen towel from "Outlier" and he is super happy with it. He suggested to get one for myself but I could not justify $100 USD price tag. After some research about what's linen I decided to give "LinenMe" a try.Once the item arrived, I started to use it as my daily towel and even took it for few camping trips. Here is my experience with it:Absorbency: is pretty ok, not as good as it was advertised, but overall for me this was just fine. Perhaps I just had very high expectations?Size: Ordered 26x51. I'm 5.6 and the size is great for traveling, backpacking or camping. Does not weight a lot and is packable.Fast drying: My gf has a regular cotton towel and I was using the linen one. I found NO difference. I actually found the regular cotton towel dries a bit faster. The issue with this towel started after about 2 months of use. My gf and I started to notice a very bad smell from this towel. Tried to wash it few times but the smell came back every time after only few days of use and nothing really helped. Something like this never happened to me before with neither cotton nor synthetic towels which I've heard can develop some odour over time. After a few attempts I had to switch back to my old cotton towel which luckily I did not throw away.

Great travel towel
Got these for camping/travel as have been disappointed by microfiber and other supposed light weight travel towels. These are so much better - actually dry you rather than moving the water about your body! Plus could be used as a beach towel, throw, extra blanket, summer wrap, etc. so good multi use to minimise packing weight. They need a good wash before use, but otherwise great.

Very good quality
Good quality. Love the look, reminds me of European kitchens. I have recently received so can't comment on washability.
