Faraday Box Car Key Fob Protector RFID Box for Keys Large PU Leather RFID Signal Blocking Car Security Proection Box (Black)

Near where I live, neighbors have posted security camera footage of thieves have been using devices to communicate with keyless remotes to mimic the signal of the keyless remote and unlock (and in one case actually start) cars even though the owner's remote was inside the house. I often have to park my car on the driveway and I was hanging my keyless remote on a peg near the mud room door, so I was worried that my car could be a target for these thieves. I wanted a Faraday box that was big enough for both of my keyless remote fobs, one of which has several traditional keys on it as well. This box is PERFECT! It's a really nice size--we could easily fit 5 of our 2021 Chevy remotes in this box. I tested the box and it really works! I put both of my keyless remotes in the box and shut the lid tightly, then I walked up to my car and touched the button on the handle that would unlock the doors and nothing happened. I also tried using hands-free tailgate that knows when the keyless remote is close by, but that didn't work either. So happy I got this--it's great peace of mind to know that someone can't access the signal from my remotes to get into my car if it's parked on the drive.

Nicely made box. Attractive. Definitely blocks key fob signals even when box is right next to the car if the box is closed. There are other methods, but this one is convenient and, hence, likely to be used. Also provides a nice spot to store key fobs, so they don't get misplaced (or run through the washing machine).

Seems to work per well. I tested it, and I could only start my car if the box containing the remote key fob was right next to the car. Doesn’t feel like our look the best quality, but good enough to in the closet, and maybe avoid a car theft.

Our neighborhood has been hit by a wave of late-night car breakins which some believe are facilitated by electronic devices that can pick up signals from car key fobs inside a house, allowing the vandals to open locked car doors so they can rummage for meter change or whatever they can find. Some police departments dispute whether such technology exists. Others concede that it does. For the price, the peace of mind knowing the key cannot transmit from inside the box is well worth it. I have walked next to the car with the box in my hand and the door that usually opens with a touch of the hand when they key is present will not open. So, it appears to work. (It also gives you a convenient and obvious place to store a spare fob battery.)

Reason I bought the box is because a few days ago I had someone attempted to gain entry into my vehicle. The incident was captured on my Nest camera but my alarm on the vehicle is set on the most sensitive setting. The guy walked straight to my driver side and attempted to gain entry into my vehicle but the alarm went off. He immediately walked away with a female companion he was with while holding up some sort of device. I posted the incident on Nextdoor and someone recommended me this product!Tested keyless entry to a 2014 Toyota Camry. I had my keys in the box and as soon as the box is secured with the clip it blocks the signal. Tested with the box right next to the door sensors and the car would not unlock/lock. Sat inside the car with the box with the doors fully closed and the push start will not start the vehicle. Vehicle will indicate that it does not sense the keys inside the vehicle. I even placed both keys in the box to see if it will pick up any of the keys and it completely blocks both signals! If the box is cracked open even 1cm it will let the signal out. Great product and it works as long as the box is secured! No complaint so far!!!

The box is stylish to keep on the counter, and much better looking than having keys laying all over the place. I was impressed with the quality. Tested the box out as soon as I received it. I put my keys in the box, closed the lid, walked to my car with the box in hand. My doors would not open. This box really does work.

Definitely worth the purchase! I tested it out as soon as it was delivered ;)I unlocked my car like normal with the handle touch (not pressing the bottom on my fob) to make sure my keys work as normal. When I tried again to unlock my car after placing the key fob in the box, it wouldn’t unlock!!! If I opened the box the to slightly be open, it would unlock, so make sure that the box is closed all the way in order for it to work. Best wishes!

Its cheap. It's flimsy but it does work. Its not nearly as well made as my JXE JXO box. It is also smaller than my JXE JXO - But I did test it on my 2019 Mazda3 and it does block the signal.

I wanted this because of the risk of getting one's car stolen now that our keys are emitting a signal and they're easy to steal. I tested it by putting my keys (and spare.... don't forget your spare!) in it.1) I tried to get inside. The door normally detects the key and lets me in. But it stayed locked.2) I sat down inside and put the keys in the box. I tried to start the car... and it wouldn't. The dashboard kept telling me that the keys weren't there.Conclusion: It does exactly what it's supposed to do. And this little box looks better on a counter than having the keys laying around.

It's a bit small, can probably hold 2-3 keys. It works with a Mazda CX30. Once a put the fob in the box, the car won't start because it can't find the key fob.

Feels a bit cheap, but looks good and gives us the perfect secure place to keep our car keys

Everything is perfect and is fonctionnal maybe a little small for put phone in ....only keys control car.

The quality is poor but it did what it claims. I tried on 3 separate vehicles (2019, 2021 x2) and with the box fully closed, I wasn’t able to get in. I slightly opened the box and I was able to get in the car. I could see the box deteriorating quickly as the material doesn’t feel durable -will see. Overall, I am pleased that it stopped the signal.
