Great Camera System and Great Tech Support
We bought this system in January of this year after researching various other systems on Amazon. The system was easy to install and we had no issues with the cameras coming up. Recently, two of the cameras stopped working and one of the cameras lost the night vision capability. I emailed the company and received an email from Melody who was very helpful and asked us to send pictures of our screen. I promptly received an email from Melody giving step-by-step instructions on what to check. It turns out the cameras lost their IP addresses and came right back on after following the instructions given by Melody. They replaced the camera that lost the night vision capability and we received it in just a few days. We are very satisfied with these cameras. Both daytime and nighttime pictures are very clear. A big thank you to Melody for her help in resolving our issues.

Excellent Security Camera System - A Lot of Bang for Your Money
After a lot of reviewing specs, comparing prices, and considering customer reviews I decided on this system, and I am very happy that I did. In my opinion this is the best value for the money in terms of quality and value. The cameras are truly "plug and play". I purchased a separate 32" TV to use as a dedicated monitor on Amazon for $130.00. This is a better option then buying a system that comes with a monitor as those monitors are typically very small and if you want that size for viewing just download the app to your phone or tablet. I downloaded the app to my phone and can check in LIVE at anytime as well.Customer service is great too. They are very concerned about providing good customer service and that is very important to me. I called the customer service number because had a couple of questions during setup that were addressed promptly. They were patient and very informative. Another reason I had to contact customer service was to inquire about additional cameras because I did not see any individual cameras for my system on Amazon. PLEAS NOTE: If you purchase the 4 camera system and decide to add additional cameras you will have to contact the customer service number to have them send you a link to purchase the additional cameras on Amazon. The setup is very easy. I am not technical and I was able to get all 4 cameras online in seconds. One thing I would like to mention - once I got the 4 cameras setup I decided that I would like more coverage and wanted to add additional cameras. It is much easier and cheaper if you buy more than you need (i.e. 8 camera system) than to have to purchase more after the fact. Lesson learned, but not a big deal. Still the best system for the money.I installed my cameras outside. Unless you have access to electrical outlets that are convenient to where you want to mount the cameras you will need to have someone that is familiar with light electrical work to install the cameras and wire them into you electrical source. This can be expensive or inexpensive - totally dependent on who you hire. At first I contacted a company that primarily installed security systems and got a quote of $800 for 4 cameras, I tried a few handyman sites and got quotes around $240 for 4 cameras, then I contacted TAKL.com and I was able to get the 4 cameras installed for $120! FYI - on their site this was considered a SMALL ELECTRICAL job.

Terrible System and support
I highly discorage anyone from purchasing this product for an easy home monitoring system. The quality of the cameras are good, but the system itself is not reliable or user friendly. I purchased because it was listed on a top 10 list, and it referenced lifetime product support. As well, compared to other well know brands well, was more reasonably priced. You get what you pay for...The Mobile app is absolutely terrible. I can get motion detection, but havent been able to recall/replay video clips via my mobile device or the hard drive for the majority of the time I've had the system. I've had the system for 2.5 years, recalling video worked for about 3-6 months but was unreliable from the get go.In addition, I've NEVER-EVER received responses anytime I submit a request for support. I actually had a situation with a trespasser and needed their support because I couldn't recall the video, and... still no response. The operation doesn't seem like a legit operation with a staff on any sort. Appears to be an extremely small business or one man operation. Its fine if your purpose is to be decoys and warn trespassers to stay off your property, but it doesn't serve it's intended purpose of capturing and recalling footage. You can buy fake camers for a tenth of the price of this system and accomplish the same thing you get here.Splurg and get yourself one of the well known brands. Its worth it.

Good System, Works Well
This is a pretty good system for the money. There are a couple of things that could be better. First, they could include a drill template for the cameras...I was able to get them installed, but a template would have helped. Second, the giant ethernet connector. I cut them off of 3 of my cameras, as there was no way to get them and the DC connector through the fairly large hole I had cut. I didn't want to make it any bigger, so I cut them off. In the software, the sensitivity setting is labeled backwards, higher sensitivity is actually lower. Took me awhile to figure that out. And one other minor complaint, my garage LED lights makes the one camera flicker...must be a refresh frequency or something. One other thing, if you mount the cameras under a soffit, you have to mount it upside down and flip the image. The antenna is in the way of mounting it right side up. Most of those issues were minor and I've been able to work around them. Other than that, the software works well and isn't too hard to operate.***Update*** 6/23/2020Bad news: After 3 months, the hard drive died and damaged the NVR beyond repair. I blame this failure on the hard drive, not the system.Good news: Several calls and emails with Melody, they replaced the NVR and hard drive.
