Disappointment
This product is a hard clay that is tough to get out of the container. Once out, it really sticks to your hands and doesn't come off with soap and water. You have to scrub it off with a towel. You also have to be careful to avoid getting blue streaks in your hair. Overall, I was very disappointed with this product.

It's Decent
Alright, so I'll start this off by saying that I'm quite experienced with hair products, but only for one reason. I used Xtah Crude Clay (the old one) for a good three years until they stopped selling it. I thought I was set for life because nothing compared. Well, once they stopped selling it I tried several different products. None really worked well. I tried several Crew products, which were bad, I also tried many other lesser known brands, which were also bad. Then one day I decided to sample my brothers hair clay (Woody's) and I sort of fell in love... kind of.Woody's clay offers a good hold with a nice matte look. Compared to similar products, it actually holds for more than a few hours too. Basically the only downside is the application of it in your hair. If your hair is even slightly dry (let alone dry), it will be tough to apply it. You will start pulling hair out and it may be painful. If your hair is reasonably wet, it is easier to apply, but doesn't look and hold as well once dried. So you basically have to perfectly time it, which can be difficult and inconvenient. As of now, I don't know any better products other than the discontinued monster known as Xtah Crude Clay (the old one).

Good product, but not ideal for thick hair.
I originally ordered the Woody's clay, but received this instead. Since I've literally never found something that my thick, straight hair would cooperate with, I was a bit hesitant to even try this. Curiosity got the better of me, and I decided I'd give it a go.Although I'll probably return to the clay since it has a firmer hold, I must say this gives my hair shape, tames it's fluffiness and gives it a nice flexible hold that I can still run my fingers through and manipulate. For me, it's not ideal since I prefer more of a swept back, classic look, and it takes some serious product to get my hair to stay in place. But it's still a solid product that won't leave your hair looking oily or greast. If you have medium thick or thinner hair, this is probably perfect for you. But if you're like me and have thick, formless hair, give Woody's clay a try.

Best product ever IMHO!
I swear this is the best product ever! Everything on it is just perfect even its blueish color which gives you an idea or how enough it has been emulsified!Love the texture, volume, hold, matte shine, thickening it gives without making my hair stiff or weighting it down...Please DO NOT change anything on the formula.. I've testes soooo many products and this is defo the best one ever!

Too much clay and lite on the pomade
My hair is a bit longer and this blue stuff is just like clay and too thick for my use. I've tried using it lightly and heavy. Light doesn't work and heavy feels like a helmet and makes me retain heat on my head.

Its Fantastic
First, off, I have been stuck with some cheap women's hair gel for a while, and it really left my hair oily and greasy, and so I wanted to try a pomade or clay of some sort. I've heard about woody's brand from a lot of places, but I wanted to try it on my hair. It smell wonderful, not a natural smell, but it is very light, almost like a cologne. It only takes a tiny ammount, which suprised me because my hair is suuuuuper thick. It went on easily, i just put it in my dry hair after a shower. I tousled it in and then styled with my hands. It absorbed right into my hands as well, which was kinda nice, didn't leave them greasy. It held my hair, but my hair wasn't stiff or too shiny.Basically, I will never use another clay for my hair again, I have found the one.( Tutorial)

VERY thick clay
It seems like itโs made out of good quality Ingredients, just not what I expected. It is very thick, but it works

Great for me
Just bought a can of this stuff, and it has worked really well for me so far! A few things to expect if you're buying - this is basically a wax. I don't do anything wild with my hair other than give it lift and texturize, and it fulfills the job very well with my hair at least (blonde, thin, medium length, high volume). I get a 12 hour hold easily, and my hair still feels natural after it dries in the morning. Being a wax, however, it takes 2-3 scrubs with soap to get off of your hands. If you understand these two things and a good hold is what you need, this will do the job well.

Warm up woodys
Great for short hair good to style but gotta put in hands and rub it in as it's a,hard base pomade needs to soften as can lump in hair, dont be put off by my opinion though it's still alright product.

More like a wax - sticky and not great.
