This is a nifty little item and a good choice for the user who does not need every day. It was exactly what I expected and I had one use for it. My application was not ideal but I was able to accomplish what I wanted to. No complaints as it comes in a decent case with lots of dowels.

It did the job for what I was trying to do, which was gluing two sides of a door together. Altogether I did have to eyeball a lot of it because the jig is not perfect for small precise locations.

Worked, But...Plastic is not as sturdyUse a sharp bit. I didn't like the one it came with.Just line everything up and start the drill slow so it doesn't crawl away from your center point. Once your hole is started your good to go.Also the but depth stop stripped out on first use. Ended up using tape

Overall the product did not perform as expected. I ended up returning the tool since the plastic has too much flex in it or something since 3 of 4 Joints on average would be missed aligned. I ended buying a more expensive unit from a local working shop that worked great. If you are ok with a small mismatch and not a perfectionist or ok with extra sanding then this may work for you.

As advertised this was very helpful in my making a fireplace mantel, the boards lined up perfectly because I used this product.

Need better instructions on how dowel jig set can be used, pictures in instructions would be nice.
