and even worst, there is no replacement for this model
I couldn't even use it. On first usage, software sugested a firmware update and device became dead forever (do not firmware update on wndows 8 its is broken). I contacted steelseries support and there is no solution, and even worst, there is no replacement for this model.

Not for smaller hands
The mouse looks great, but, it was not built for someone with smaller hands, I could not reach all of the thumb buttons, and a couple of the other buttons. I found it uncomfortable and hard to work with because of the size and button locations. The software did not function properly.I believe it would work very well for someone with larger hands...

Lots of buttons, but not very comfortable to use.
Mouse worked well on Windows; however, it's is physically not very comfortable to use long term. Some of the buttons are very hard to reach, depending on your grip style. I returned my mouse for refund.Note; this mouse does NOT work on OSX Yosemite yet. I opened a support case with SteelSeries but they have not published drivers as of two weeks ago.

Excellent But With Flaws
For people with larger hands, like myself, this mouse is ideal as it fits nicely without cramping or requiring stretching. The mouse IS a bit large though, so keep that in mind. It's also useful for me as some mice, like a lot of Razers, simply come with too many buttons for me to use effectively but more basic Logitech mice come with too few. The Cataclysm mouse comes with a nice balance of buttons. The catch is you have to sort of finagle the software to get macros and the like to work, but once working it'll work just the same for any game other than WoW, and I use it for regular editing in addition to gaming.

So good I bought a second one for work
I now have two of these; one I've had for gaming for a few years now and this one I bought for work. I have large hands and a moderate case of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome from driving computers for 20 years. This is the only mouse I've found that is A) large enough to help with CTS, B) reliable, C) configurable, D) doesn't have the usual wireless+battery issues *COUGH*Microsoft, I'm looking at your optical desktop 7000*COUGH*, and E) isn't typical cheap junk. It's getting more difficult to find decent computer mice these days that fit my desires as noted above, and this one has been excellent. It has a long, braided-cover USB cable. It's a laser sensor rather than LED and has sensitivity adjustments over and above the simple control-panel "pointer speed" option. It has a bunch of buttons that are reasonably close enough to normal hand positions that they are actually *USABLE* and they are all very responsive. I've had mice more expensive than this that were clunky by comparison.

Best Mouse Ever
This is the best gaming mouse I've ever had. The buttons are spread out nicely (not all squished together on a thumb pad). The mouse feels sturdy, but it's not too heavy. I'm very disappointed SteelSeries has discontinued this model. The new WoW mouse is unusable for me.The shipping from this seller (TreeBread) was fantastic! It only took 2 weeks to come all the way from Hong Kong. It wasn't due to arrive for 2 more weeks at the earliest. I couldn't be happier.EDIT:I've noticed other reviewers say this mouse could only be used for World of Warcraft. This is not true. The mouse can be configured with up to 10 different profiles. If you are playing more than one non-WoW game, it will be helpful to change the colors to identify the different profiles. I have mine set up for WoW, SWTOR, Neverwinter, GW2, and Secret World.
