ABN DOT-C2 Reflective Tape Purchased From "Tool Deals" Review
Quick Notes:- Reflects direct light very well and is noticeable from a distance.(light source is pointed directly at tape)- Doesn’t Reflect residual light very well (when the light source isn’t directly pointed at the tape)- Adhesive backing leaves a lot to be desired on flat or curved surfaces the adhesive does not stick to metal very well but is does adhere very strongly to smooth plastic.- Had to super glue the tape to the metal post and rack on my bike.- Tape has wax paper covering the adhesive side which makes it easier to work with and cut- First picture is taken of tape on a table directly under a light fixture that has 3 700 lumen 60watt equivalent florescent daylight bulbs and the second picture was taken in a pitch black bathroom with the camera flash on.Full Review:I purchased this tape to try and make my bike more visible and dusk dawn and night. I was only happy with the performance of this tape at night. I had someone drive up from behind me during all three times and during the rain and every time we tested the visibility of the tape except for at night they said that is was not noticeable until they were about 15-30ft away which is less than a second of travel time when driving >25mph. At night the tape preformed a lot better being noticeable from a little over 100yds. away. The reason for this I think is because as I said above they only reflect direct light well and headlights are normally pointed at an angle towards the ground. To be far to the tape as well I didn’t test with multiple types of vehicles only a car and vehicle height could defiantly play a large roll in this. But I’m not getting paid to test this tape so im not going to do extensive and through testing. I only tested it because I wanted to make sure it worked to my expectations and for the most part I was pretty disappointed and not sure if I believe that this really is DOT-C2 tape or a knockoff just stamped DOT-C2. The best way I have found to fix the issue I had is to have a flashing light pointed at the tape and then at all times of day it’s a lot more visible. All in all at a dollar a foot I would probable not buy this again and would only really recommend this tape to someone who is using it for a car trailer or something else the legally has to have reflective tape on it. For everyone else I would recommend spending a little more and getting actual reflectors and velcroing or gluing them where you need them.--*If you have any questions please leave a comment and I will try and respond as soon as I can, but I have a job and things to do so please don't expect a response immediately.*

I already know it's going to fall off eventually
It serves the purpose that I need for now. Placing it over the back shape of a camper van; it's okay. If you place it on something completely flat and most likely will stay longer. But I wanted something to illuminate the shape of the back of my camper van in total darkness, when a car is driving towards it. Even though I just moved it down multiple times it pops up where the curve is.

Good stuff
I just used this reflective tape. I’ll update later. Auto Quarterly gave this a high rating. It stated that it was stiff and required heavy pressure to make it adhere. I went over it a number of times to make sure it adhered. The glue was rated as “robust.” It’s designed for flat surfaces on trucks or trailers. I used it on an old step that isn’t smooth. It shows up really well in daylight or at night. I underestimated how much I would need and I cut some pieces incorrectly. Get extra.

Added Boat Trailer Markings
I used this conspicuity tape to enhance the visibility of my boat trailer. I often get off the water at dusk and wanted my trailer more visible on the road. This tape is highly reflective and does the job well. I have used both the 1 and 2 inch tape depending the location on my trailer.

Good quality, SUPER bright
Used these on a new utility trailer I just purchased and a bicycle rack that mounts to the hitch on my Toyota FJ and stick out the back about 3 feet. Having almost been rear ended a few times, and had someone pull out into traffic and almost center punching an old trailer I wanted to do everything I could to make the trailer and bike rack standout in traffic. When headlights hit my trailer or rack at night now I stand out like a beacon. These are super bright and appear to be same quality as the 4 pack of 18" DOT stickers for about same price. You get 10 feet with this role versus 6 feet in the four pack. My math says this is a better deal. The absolute best deal is at Harbor Freight (in store is better price than their website), I recently saw a 10 pack of the 18 inch for $10.

Great Driveway Marker
On time delivery & attached securely to a telephone box at the entrance to our rural driveway.Ours is a busy road and the driveway is almost impossible to find at night with oncoming headlights at 45 mph. Not problem anymore!! We can clearly see and prepare to make our turn several hundred yards ahead now!!Just got the tape so time will tell how durable they are. If and/or when they fail we would simply buy them again. They are so much more visible, stable and safer than the old red plastic reflectors.

Very visible sticker
I bought these to add visibility to my travel trailer. I added a long strip to the rear bumper, and a small strip on either side of the tongue. There was just enough left to add a long vertical piece to the wall of the extended slide to help with marking the width of the trailer with the slide extended. There's a small corner on one of the pieces that's already lifting, but the rest of the sticker seems securely attached. That's the only reason for the 4 star rating.

Great reflectivity, easy to work with
5 stars so far. I'll let you know if it changes. Great reflectivity, easy to work with, 10 ft generous amount for most trailer projects (I only used about 4-5 ft on my 5x12), and SO FAR after 3 mos. outside storage there's been no peeling back or any tape losing its stick. That of course is the greatest test and I'm still watching. Remember, the surface has to be really clean - use alcohol as a "final" scrub to lift off everything - previous cleaners, wax, etc - and then make sure it's dry dry dry before putting down the tape. Almost always the reason for the tape losing its stick is lack of surface prep. Use the alcohol - good stuff.
