Perfect for applying waxes, polishes, and other detailing products.
I recently tried Meguiar's W4 Supreme Shine 4" Foam Applicator, and it has quickly become an essential tool in my car care routine. These applicators are designed with quality and performance in mind, making them perfect for applying waxes, polishes, and other detailing products. The foam is soft yet durable, providing a smooth and even application without scratching or marring the surface of my vehicle. The 4" size is just right, allowing for precise control and coverage, even in tighter areas. I found that the applicator holds the product well, minimizing waste and ensuring an efficient application process. One of the standout features is how easy it is to clean the applicator after use. A quick rinse with water and mild soap, and it's ready to be used again, maintaining its shape and effectiveness.Overall, Meguiar's W4 Supreme Shine Foam Applicator offers excellent value and performance. It has made applying detailing products much easier and more effective, resulting in a brilliant shine on my car. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and high-quality applicator for their car care needs.

Hand polish or waxing these pads feel great & gets the job done
I’ll state it at the start. These are amazing foam applicators! They’re soft enough to not damage car paint while tough enough to do a decent polish by hand if needed. They absorb product like a sponge so you won’t have to worry about working a foam pad “dry” on your paint/clear-coat which could leave swirl marks and/or scratches. On the downside is that they require a bit more product as they absorb some of it & it can get pretty messy if you apply too much pressure causing the absorbed product to ooze out. I’ld highly recommend working at a moderate pace with light pressure for waxing & moderate pressure for polishes. These are too soft to be used with compounds effectively. Compounding usually requires the use of a micro-fiber or terry cotton applicator pad as they are able to “bite” more into the clear coat to remove scratches & swirls. As for the clean up I have a few pros & cons. Overall, clean up is straight forward. Use any household soap (I used dish soap) or your favorite foam applicator cleaner (like chemical guy’s foam cleaner) along with some warm water to clean the pads. Do NOT put these in the washer! Most detergents contain colored dyes which will permanently stain these pads that color. I learned this the hard way because I was tired after I did a 15 hour paint correction for a pretty beat up black Mini. Tossed them in the washer & came back to blue foam pads. Imd highly recommend you air dry them after a wash. You could probably get away with setting your dryer on low heat, but remember that these are foam pads that can melt and I wasn’t about to risk ruining my very expensive dryer for a few foam pads.As for their durability I’d have to give them am only slightly above average rating as a couple of my pads have begun to form small tears around the edges, but for the price of each pad I’d say it’s acceptable especially after using them to polish & wax 2 sedans, 1 coupe, 1 large SUV, and a full size van.Again, I’d highly recommend these pads to anyone especially since they come in a pack of 4.

only use mine with Meguiar's Endurance Gel
Looks like a lot of folks use these to apply a variety of products. I only use mine to apply tire gel. They're great for that. I pull on a latex glove and go at the tires, and since I don't use them for anything else, I don't clean them. They hold a certain amount of gel til next use, but they don't fall apart when gel stays in them. Probably bought my first four pads about five years ago, down to my last one, ordering more.Easy to use. Put a dollop on the pad, do a wipe on the top side of the tire, second wipe on the lower sidewall. The pads are soft enough to fill in the edgings on my tires.Admittedly, big Meguiar's fan. Wash my 11-yr-old, 120k+ car every Monday, do tire gel every other week, and love doing the Meguiar's Interior Detailing spray, which smells sweeter and better than "new car." Yes, have accumulated required parking lot door dents, and my FIAT name plates are completely faded out. But the car looks GREAT, and that last little bit of detailing (tire shine) makes a difference. My little 2014 FIAT 500 POP is the base model FIAT, but folks stop by my car in the parking lots to ask about it.
