These lights are great, very adjustable and especially good for smaller tanks. I initially ordered two, and one was defective, but it was replaced and the new one arrived the very next day! I am very impressed.

Initially I gave this a 5 star rating because I liked it's flexible arm and compact bulb. But I have updated my review because after less than 6 months, the bulb fell out and broke and it is not replaceble! So I was forced to go out with urgency and purchase a new light & bulb for my little turtle friend. Too bad :(

I used this light to support a small planter of flowers as a gift for my sister and I had that pot in a corner for a month, far from the window, and it supported all the plants I had put in. The light never got all too hot so I know her cat will be ok and I was able to actually handle the metal immediately after shutting off. the articulated neck is notably nicer as it has a soft feel and no weird grooves for stuff to get stuck inside. It does not span a large area, naturally, but it is perfect for a desk plant in an office or any small plant away from a window. Will definitely recommend.

This light works great! Secures tightly onto the enclosure and very flexible to adjust.

I like the design but....When i turn the dial up past the low setting all it does is flickers like a strobe light..... very disappointed, if the low setting doesn't seem to make any difference with my turtle i will be returning!

I chose this lamp after seeing what other lamps pros and cons were. So far I'm very happy with this choice for a few reasons. The lamp is pretty well built without a single weak area to watch out for. The adjustable extension has a very nice rubber coating to it that helps while positioning the light. The best point is this lamp doesn't radiate a bunch of heat from the lamp housing. It simply works for the dude bros (turtles) seem to enjoy basking under it.

I didn't like the fact that its cheaply made. One of the parts that screws off ended up easily disconnecting the wires. It's as if the wires weren't properly connected. I never even had a chance to try it out on my tortoise
