I just completed the first service/rebuild on my 52 year old IR 231C impact gun. When I purchased this originally, the only protective cover was made of leather and was very bulky. I soaked this in hot water just like the instructions said and this slipped right on the old gun. Looks like she's ready for another 52 years.

Fits good but is a real job putting it on the only way is to let the boot sit in hot water to soften up or it's next to impossible to put on.In the process in putting it on a bit of the lettering and logo got rubbed off but it doesn't bother me it will get worn off over time and I had to cut a little of the boot off so it wouldn't interfere with the forward and reverse mechanism
