Great brush and a great value
This brush exceeded most all of my expectations, and is a great value for the price. The bristles are firm enough to retain a nice bloom when in use, without crushing. At the same time, they are just firm enough to exfoliate in use, while not scratching or irritating. It holds water well, and the brush makes a very nice lather (using Mr. Taylor's shave cream, and creating a lather on my face). It has hardly shed at all (after 2 weeks of consistent use it has lost 1 hair), and the qualify of the brush seems excellent. The nicest surprise was that I didn't have to clean/deodorize the brush. It was sanitized when it was made, and came out of the box without any funky smell found in cheaper brushes. My only complaint (and it is VERY minor) is that the handle is a bit on the short-side. I can still get a decent grip on it, but I do wish it was about a 1/2" longer. If you have large hands, it may be an issue for you.

Great brush, great price
The hair on this brush is soft, it holds water, and it creates a nice lather with a small amount of cream. You don't have to worry about this brush shedding either. The only improvement I can see is in the handle. You can buy a wood or chrome handle super badger brush for about $30 more. Chrome would look better in my colonel conk stand (which fits the brush perfectly) and match my merkur 180 nicely. However, If the superficial does not matter to you and you're looking for high value, buy this brush. I will only buy vulfix from now on.

sheds like a mangy dog
I have had a Vulfix brush in the past that I loved and used for years. So why not upgrade? You know, get something nicer like a super badger brush instead of a pure badger brush. That made sense so I ordered this brush. I got it and it makes a great lather and feels great. While shaving a few hairs fell out, which is normal for a new brush, no biggie. Well that went on for about a month. Now I have been using it 3-4 months and more hair is falling out. I would say I loose 10 hairs or so per shave. The brush has plenty more but it is getting annoying shaving badger hair with my own. They are all over the sink when done or left on my face with extra shaving cream. At the rate it is loosing hair I doubt it will be functional in a few months. I am disappointed with the quality of the brush. The real kicker is I cannot find a website for the company. I was debating mailing it back to them to see what they would say but can't find an address. I will most likely be looking at other companies for my next brush.

First off the quality of the hair is great however the knot did not hold as expected
I purchased this brush based in other reviews. My experience might be an isolated one but rude to the costumer care and their lack of caring I will share my experiance with the brush. First off the quality of the hair is great however the knot did not hold as expected. Other purchaser's of this brush claimed the only lost one or two hairs well I lost over thirty in less than a month. The "hair loss" seemed to almost stop so I decided to ignore this issue and continue to enjoy the brush. After five almost six months of daily use the knot fell off the handle. I have a $10 brush that has not failed me yet and it has been with me over two years

Vulfix Super Badger Super Shedding Shaving Brush
Having used shaving brushes since the early 1970's, I though it was about time I chose a higher quality brush. My grandfather, and uncle, both used a Vulfix, so in following the family tradition, I purchased one, and really wanted to like it.Every badger brush I have owned, will shed a little over the first few weeks, and that will be that. Not a big deal. The Vulfix Super Badger Shaving Brush I purchased, seems to be shedding more now, after several months of daily use, than when I first purchased it. How unfortunate. I have dogs, cats, and horses, that shed less.Alas, being a disappointing product, when it is no longer serviceable, I will not be purchasing another. The Tweezerman, that I retired to use while travelling, though not quite as soft, and significant less expensive, is holding up, even after several years use, will return to the front line.

Super Badger is super
This is my second one. It may be a little small for some folks but it's right for me. For me, super badger is the best in that it has softness almost indistinguishable from silver tip at a much lower price point. I find lower grades (best or pure) just aren't premium quality and lack the softness or comfort of a super badger brush. But, of course, this is a personal choice. The Vulfix brand has been around for a long time with an excellent reputation. I have found that these brushes do not lose hair - assuming one gives them proper respect and care.

Silver tip shaving brush review.
Replaced a boar/badger brush with this silver tip and like it a lot. Easier to get a lather with and very comfortable on your face. Does not shed and hope it lasts a long time. Longevity question only reason rating at 4 stars.

so that’s a good thing.
Was really excited at first. Really floppy. Does not shed, so that’s a good thing.
