We bought these for my son's birthday party as party favors and right out of the box there was an artificial, chemical smell that would not go away. I tested one in a glass of water and, while it kind of worked, it didn't exactly look as advertised. The dinosaur gained a small amount of size to crack the egg and then shrank back over a period of hours. Not very interesting. I ended up returning them since I didn't think the other parents would appreciate the odor, or the mess.

These things smell strongly like paint and the scent never disappated. We had planned to give these to our kids and their friends in easter eggs and decided not to because they seemed dangerously full of chemicals. They also don't work very well, it took many many hours for the egg to show any sign of "cracking" and left a pretty disgusting mess in the cup with a really pathetic little dinosaur "hatching" from the egg. They also look like chocolate candy so we didn't want kids eating them. NOT worth the money - ended up throwing them all away.

The shipping was standard shipping and it came in 4 days later...grandkids loved it they were happy and thought it was neat to see it hatch and grow...

I used them as an incentive for buying books at my school’s Scholastic book fair. The children loved them. They came back to tell me when they hatched! They were well worth the money! The only drawback—they are very small, the size of M&M Easter candy eggs.

They are cute and my kids enjoy them. My only complaint is that several were already broke open when we opened the box but luckily there are plenty that survived.

They just didn't grow no matter howe long we left them in water. Pretty lame.

Was a better idea then candy. Kids loved it.
