We got a 7.5 year old dog from a family member. He had severe plaque, probably had never had his teeth cleaned. I didn't expect much. I sprinkle this on his food, along with salmon oil, and he gobbles it up. Its been 20 days and the tarter is almost completely gone! His breath is so much better also. I still plan to have his teeth cleaned professionally in a couple of weeks, but this will help extend the time between cleanings, saving tons of money.

We have two pups - almost 2 year old Retriever-mix named Penelope that we adopted about 6 months ago & almost 5 year old Shih Tzu named Teddy. Teddy's never had breath issues, but he HATES his teeth being cleaned. He will sit still for me to clean his face but he REFUSES to let me near his teeth, so I've never really gotten into the habit of brushing. Now Penelope has had HORRIBLE breath from the day we got her and of course when her anal glands are acting up, it's even worse, as you can imagine. I usually don't even like her getting into my face and giving me kisses because of her stinky fish breath. We just ordered this and so far have only given it to the pups ONCE during their breakfast, and Penelope's breath is already better!!! I can actually love on and kiss my little girl!!!! I have three cats with differing health needs. The one I originally bought it for would develop plaque on his teeth pretty quickly and needed cleanings almost yearly. This product has kept his teeth clean so well I haven't has to schedule a cleaning for him in two years! Another cat had pretty healthy teeth and gums for almost 8 years. His diet is mostly wet food for urinary issues. It caught up to him a year ago with plaque starting to develop. The vet wanted to schedule a cleaning soon. I decided to try the powder with him. With his health issues, our vet and I am leery to change his diet. But I decided to slowly add the powder and cross my fingers we wouldn't have to go through another UTI. Six months later, we took this cat in for a checkup and his teeth were clean and his good health is maintaining. Out third cat is somewhat feral. She adopted us and our workshop after a close call with a hawk. She doesn't like being handled much so getting her to a vet has not been possible. She's also been getting the perio powder, but since I can't handle her, its hard to say how her teeth are. My fingers are crossed that this product is having the same benefit for her as my other cats. All the cats have no problem eating their food with the powder mixed in, until there's about a quarter of the bottle left. Then they start to refuse their food. In one way, I'm losing money when I have to throw out almost a quarter of the jar, but gaining with no vet bills for teeth cleaning. I've thought about changing to a different brand if I could find one in a smaller bottle, but then I have no idea if another brand will work as well as this one. So I am staying with this brand, but I do wish I could figure out a way to keep the last of the powder fresh enough for them to finish it.

I’ve been adding this to my dogs’ meals every morning for the past year, and wow — it really works. The biggest difference is with my 17-year-old pit-pug mix. If I skip a few days, his breath lets me know immediately (yikes). The trick is to use it *consistently* — stick with it daily and you’ll probably notice a real difference within a week. And it definitely keep the plaque at by for my 5 year old beagle-mix. Total game changer.

I have purchased this many times and have been happy. My last order showed up defective as it was hard and clumped together. I requested a replacement as it was a Prime purchase and have had nothing but trouble. Have called customer service twice and they said it would be replaced but that it was back ordered- I checked and it is not. I don’t understand why Amazon is refusing to replace a product that is potentially dangerous to my pet- have never had an issue like this before but the product clearly says free returns on Prime and they are not honoring it- I can’t waste any more time on this but will not have any faith in the PRIME guarantee in the future

This doesn’t appear to be the same stuff as I got from the vet! It is the exact same label, but the powder is very different! What I got from the Vet is on the right.

We were not expecting much for this. As it has turned out, now the bottle is almost empty(time to reorder). Our dog loves it sprinkled over his meals. We called it his spice, he sees and smells our spices we use, so he knows what spice means. It definitely has helped freshen his breath. So far this has been a win win for all of use. Reordering!. Ps, we have a very very picky dog, he has to have poached chicken topping on every meal and he loves the perio support aka spice.

I have this on subscription. I do think it's worth it, I only give it to my dogs once a week, one had very bad teeth, they have gotten better with this and brushing. I make sure to brush the day of or after giving them this powder. Both don't seem to mind the taste!
